TIL that neurotypicals apparently don’t remember things as strongly as people with atypical neurotypes?
For example the phrase: “I remember where I was when 9/11 happened” has never resonated with me. Like, what do you mean you remember that? What’s special about remembering where you were?
Turns out: remembering things as strongly like that is called “imprinting” and for neurotypicals it tends to only happen as a trauma response. For neurodivergent people, imprinting is just like… normal?
