I know it seems like such a small thing. Like nothing almost. But I think if we're going to turn this fucking ugly ship around, it is probably going to need to start with a fairly profound change in consciousness on our parts.

And changing our unconscious ways of triangulating in the world is incredibly difficult. I know none of us feel we measure the value of a person by their job (or lack of one), but as a collective, I think that value measurement is so ingrained, we don't even notice.
