There's a truism in journalism that a yes-or-no question in a headline (like "Are cell phones making teens depressed?") can almost always be answered "probably not" once you read the article. If it was a clear yes, the headline writer would have said so.
I propose an addendum: when the question is of the form "Which one of these factors is to blame?" the answer is probably "Why not both?"
