At some point, when I was a kid, I latched on to the idea that being comfortable and satisfied was bad.
I used this as a drive to push myself to try new things and to reach higher goals, but also as an excuse to behave in self destructive ways.
Comfort isn't the enemy. Satisfaction and joy are good and healthy. Things can end, that's okay. Good, even.
If you, like me, bought this myth: consider being kind to yourself. That doesn't mean you have to stop growing, but it absolutely does mean you're allowed to enjoy what you have.
