Algorithmic social networks like Threads mean that the experiences of any two people can be very different. While I'm over here browsing GBA mods, others are subjected to hateful content and harassment that Threads isn't doing enough to stop.

I learned a lot from today's story from Niléane (npub15m6…mp9u). It details Threads' troubled track record and opaque policies that make LGBT people and marginalized communities feel unwelcome. Meta need to listen to and do better by them.
