From the dept. of good news for queers:
Last year one of HCN's cover stories was about Lydia Otero, a non-binary Latinx activist in LA who spent decades gathering an archive of the local #LGBTQ movement.
It's a great story. (https://www.hcn.org/issues/54.4/south-history-my-archive-20-years-of-los-angeles-lgbtq-movement)
As a result, the #LosAngeles Public Library has announced they've acquired Otero's archive, to preserve it and make it available for students and researchers as "part of the official record of the story of Los Angeles."
