Interestingly, when Paraguay left the gold standard in 1941, we pegged our currency (the Paraguayan peso) to the Argentine peso. On October 5, 1943, the guarani was introduced at a rate of ₲126 = US$1 (currently ₲7,775 = US$1). We still use the guarani and have never removed any zeroes from the currency.
