100% this. We've not put enough pressure on podcast listening app makers like Apple, Spotify, Amazon, et. al to add transcript viewing.

And, honestly, there's absolutely no reason for them not to. We have an agreed-upon spec. Most podcast hosting companies allow for—if not downright encourage—transcripts. The software to make them is ubiquitous. This needs to happen, Apple, Spotify, et. al.
