Tonight’s Monetary Thoughts. The Fed's continuous counterfeiting allows mal investments and non-performing businesses to continue, when in an organic market they would collapse. Instead they suck resources and capital from productive uses, people, and businesses. I think of this as akin to giving every child a trophy for participating in an activity, whether deserved or not. Men in women's sports is another comparison that comes to mind.
