I got my Trezor Safe 5. Some notable changes to Trezor T:
- the display is amazing, very nice user interface, it is much easier to type in PIN and everything than before, even if you have bigger fingers
- I like the new shamir-enabled backup by default. I think this is truly the future of backups, old mnemonic backups do not give us so many options.
- some (even if not open) secure element is better than no secure element, should be much harder to get the seed out of the device. But of course - use a passphrase (and type it on the device, not computer)
- they are shipping, I got normal order from e-shop
If you want to benefit from secure element (for example if you don't use passphrase) and you got Trezor One or Trezor T, I recommend upgrading. If you got Safe 3, the main upgrade is just the display (not two buttons), so if you are comfortable with using it with the physical buttons, keep it.
