I wonder if there are plants & little creatures that cluster around human airports? Maybe bacteria & mites are more likely— not the successful invasives who ride on planes & in shipping containers then spread everywhere on arrival— but a more fragile community of well-travelled living things transported by human zoochory? Human zoochory is written in our favorite crops, our least favorite pests. We view it as a crisis because we never think about it until up to our ears in kudzu & crazy ants.
