Had the idea a while back that someone will build a nostr client that holds usernames and passwords for all your social media platform accounts and when you post on nostr, it auto posts to Twitter, Facebook, etc.
Twitter will never build this because they don’t want their users posts showing up on Facebook, and vice-versa.
But your nostr client doesn’t care. Once people who are spread across multiple platforms become aware of this, they download the nostr client, create the npub and use it.
Eventually the network effect of nostr is big enough that there’s really no need for the middleman anymore. You just post and view on any client you want, whether Nostur, Primal, Twitter/X, Facebook, whatever. All the platforms become clients.
Similarly once the dollar is pegged to bitcoin, it just becomes the second layer via tether. So you send digital dollars to pay for things, and you store larger amounts of them in bitcoin. But then people realize you don’t need the middleman anymore because bitcoin also works as a payments system and you just spent in sats via lightning or whatever, and the dollar/tether is just another client along with lightning or whatever.
