I was finally convinced to take statins by my doctor about 18 months ago. There were no side effects and my cholesterol dropped by two whole points in the first month. I was also told to treat it as a suck it and see exercise - if the statins didn't do the trick, I could just stop taking them again. Now I can munch as much cheese and butter as my heart desires. 😊
