It was a bit shocking to open them up and see how they'd been maintained over the decades. But then again breaking the rules is often a good thing. Manufacturers design for one thing, but the users need to adapt for other circumstances. Being so disconnected from international supply lines, Australia had to improvise a lot. There are important stories in dirt and abuse.
