TBH that entire proposition today reminds me of Gerry McGovern (npub14sz…ur2r) point on "launch and leave" development culture. It's all focusing on building something new, not maintaining established things.
I mean, it's great if getting started in a language is easier. But you still need to deeply understand a code base to maintain it.
Being "good" in a language to me also seems to imply a deep understanding of common and uncommon build patterns, why certain choices are made.
