Summer and I hung out on the deck, hoping for a spectacular sunset. The popcorn clouds looked promising, but the fog was developing fast, too.
It was the perfect time to remind Summer that we are always going to help each other. Last night, when she was skunk sprayed in the face, we all lept into action.
After I rinsed out her eyes, I left her outside with my husband so I could gather supplies.
He sat in a chair and gently washed her face until I was ready to give her the first proper bath outside. She was one sad pup.
It is amazing that she clearly understands that we are helping her. She stayed perfectly still for the whole process.
I know that when we need her, she's there for us too.
We really do our best to take care of each other.
