Sounds good to me!
Testing on different Linux distros is doable for me. Right up my alley.
Been on Linux for over 15 years. Used well over 100 Linux distros during my distrohopping adventures for shits and giggles. So I am very comfortable with all of the most popular ones that have the largest user bases as well as the niche ones too.
In the meantime I will work on some basic bash build scripts for getting the ball rolling when it is ready to get out of alpha. Should be pretty easy to automate the build process for a couple different Linux distros.
I do think going the containerization route with podman via distrobox is something to strongly consider too. I'm going to code that up and test it out this week to see what it is like and if that works gracefully.
Might also explore building a flatpak for it as well, but one step at a time, because that will definitely be a learning experience for me. Read about building flatpaks, but never had a reason to actually do it. So that will be fun.
