Why do people choose Bluesky over Mastodon?
I think two reasons, somewhat opaque to the average happy M user.
The first, and I think biggest, is that there are really a lot of casual users out there. By casual I mean not that invested, not that passionate, just occupying their time. For them B is easy, free, and currently without ads.
The 2nd group, in a mutual dependence with the 1st, are the soap box builders. They want an audience of thousands plus. B has an architecture to support that.
