As a Gen Xer born in the 70s, I can totally relate. I was very close to my grandmother who was born in the 1920s used to live in a trailer park. Her perspective always fascinated me.
In the late 90s I traveled around Latin America and also served in the Peace Corps and after the optimism of the 90’s and the dawn of the Information Age, I was very disillusioned in 2003 when the media excitedly jumped on the Iraq War bandwagon when all the data sources related to the dialog (e.g. IAEA WMD inspections report) were accessible and allowed anyone with internet access to easily conclude that the reasons for war were fabricated.
I also could never understand why the “developing countries” that I visited In the 90s never were able to transition to developed. Thank goodness for Bitcoin and for you for sharing your many valuable perspectives and pushing everyone forward. Cheers!
