I read it and if we ignore the fact that spending BTC now might end up losing potential future gain for the user, not being able to pay taxes in BTC might stop businesses from accepting BTC because of the complexity for converting to local currencies and writing that for tax declarations. From there less businesses accepting bitcoin stops me from being able to pay.
