Does anyone have advice on ham radio equipment? I’m gonna get a license, and I’d like to have a simple setup on hand in case we lose current communication channels beginning next year.

It’s all very confusing, and I know there are lots of you ham experts out there.

I know nothing. I’m starting from scratch. I don’t want to run a radio station. I just want to have reliable communication.
