Here's an interesting stat if true: apparently 1.2 million EVs were sold in the States last year, amounting to 7.6% of all vehicles sold – and electricity consumption *declined*.

The article credits improvements in efficiency to the decrease in electricity use, which to me is the biggest point. So much of our transition to a sustainable future has to involve figuring out better ways to do more with less. 🌎
