The #history of my grandparents is a testament to the value of hard-earned wisdom, far surpassing any business degree. My grandmother, who hailed from Niederschlesien, lived to the age of 83, witnessing firsthand the devastating impacts of economic instability that is caused by Fiat money. Her parents lost everything during the Weimar Republic, only to be robbed again by the rise of brown socialism, followed by the harsh realities of red socialism and communism. By 1990, the situation had hardly improved, with the Deutsche Mark struggling to maintain its value. Then came the Euro in 2001, marking yet another shift in currency.

The purchasing power of fiat money seems to follow a singular trajectory: downward. The math may be complex, but the implications are clear. Should I divide my grandmother's 83 years by 5 or 4 to illustrate the frequency of currency changes? It’s astonishing to think that we receive a new currency roughly every two decades. On average, fiat currencies last less than 27 years before they lose their value and credibility throughout history.

This pattern raises critical questions about the sustainability of fiat money. As we continue to rely on these unstable currencies, we must confront the reality that their value is fleeting, and the lessons of the past should not be ignored.
