Something has gone terribly wrong with my life plans. I fully expected to be sitting on a throne, drinking wine from the skulls of my enemies. Instead, I sit in a broken chair, sipping lukewarm coffee from a chipped cup.
Going into academia with plans of becoming a mad scientist only sort of worked, with "mad" == "angry and tired." Too late for plan B.
