Someone asked, “Is Terminatrix a Terminator movie?”
It is not related to Terminator in any way.
Rather, it’s what’s know as a “mockbuster”.
These are low budget movies made that have similar names to big budget counterparts, hoping to confuse people into watching them in the hopes they purchase or stream them by mistake.
The Disney of mockbuster film studios is The Asylum. They’re mostly known for the Sharknado films, but they make lots of mockbusters every year, and they’ve done so since the early 2000s.
I actually like mockbusters. Most of the time, they’re trashy films that deliver cheap thrills. And sometimes, they’re better than the big budget films they’re “inspired” by.
But Terminatrix is, by far, the worst mockbuster I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen The Mummy Rebirth, which is also incredibly bad—but still not as bad as Terminatrix.
