There is a time for departure even when there is no certain place to go.
Each day dusk closes out our days, knowing it is time to draw in, pull back the light, and face the darkness. A task of trust as it never knows what tomorrow will be or if the light will return.
Many times in our lives, we must walk away. From people, from homes, from jobs, from parts of ourselves. There is a knowing inside of us that speaks when it is time. And often we resist. Because facing the unknowns is scary and hard and uncomfortable, and we would rather sit in familiar pain or predictable suffering, than believe there may be greater things out there for us.
The departure is self-love. The dusk is blind belief. The void in between what was and what will be for you is the mental challenge you must take on. But it is often the space for adventure. For exploration. For meeting the new version of yourself. For calling in higher joy.
What you are not changing, you are actively choosing. And if you are choosing to never have departures, to never have dusks, you may be avoiding the abundance of love and light that is waiting for you.
The possibilities are endless. The capacity of creation within you is endless. The love you deserve is endless. Show God you believe this, then tread lightly into the night.
