I guess the point was that what is occurring now used to be taught in US public schools to avoid it occurring again. But through slow and methodical changes to protocol and curriculum, as well as abusing the linguistically beautiful power and precision of the English language, the people were enslaved, those too busy/distracted/dumb to see or understand their own enslavement or the means in which it has been conducted.
