The gender studies chick doesn't have to worry about being efficient (she's actually a net-loss, for her employer), as her employer/customer can just borrow the money to pay her at below-market rates, or get government subsidies. Her "training" was also heavily subsidized.
She will only lose her job, when her customer cannot extend or roll-over their financing. At which point, she will simply live off of unemployment, which will be a lot because of her previously high wages.
It just goes on and on... until it stops.
