Last night we ordered dinner to go from one of our favorite family owned restaurants. I asked the cashier where they were from and she said El Salvador. I smiled really big and asked if they were going to accept Bitcoin. She smiled big back and said, “I wish!” I told her that I would pay in Bitcoin and would help her set that up if they wanted.
A little bit later I asked her, wearing my best poker face, how she felt about Bukele. She drew a deep breath and her eyes immediately teared up, “I LOVE him. He has done so many good things for El Salvador and for us here too.” I got chills.
So guys… I need a hand. I’m aware of Ibex Mercado and BTCPay server. I’ll also be looking into ZapRight. Are there other point of sale systems worth considering for a small mom and pop shop that already has a primary PoS? Which system would you recommend for a very limited budget, little to no on staff tech expertise, and probably not a lot of Bitcoin sales.
