I am going to take some risks with short connections on this trip, and there is of course no through-ticketing for Valence-Stockholm anyway. In practice, I have an SNCF ticket to Karlsruhe, a DB ticket to Hamburg and an SJ ticket to Stockholm, not reassuring but there is no other choice.
No interrail this time, because I travel for several different purposes and budgets - the administrators are far happier to pay way too expensive tickets than a part of some interrail fare.
