Very odd conversation last night. We called a guy we hardly know to buy something, then he spent half an hour trauma dumping.
But the vibe was weirder than that, because he spent the whole conversation aggressively self identifying as not doing what he was doing. We (couple on speaker together. trying to make a purchase from this business) hardly got a word in between him saying
"I'm not the kind of guy to [massive emotional trauma dump]. See I grew up in the bush, we're tough out here, so I'm not into any of that [inserts another trauma dump]. I can't stand those people who are all woe is me, they've probably had just as much luck as anyone and anyway I've been through [massive trauma dump] and I never complain! And it's not like I ever mention [disturbing trauma dump] either!"
This went on for a solid half hour. Just him selfIDing as more country/more aussie than people with emotions, then dumping his emotional traumas. Then he was like 'anyway, good chat, I'll get it to you next week.
