linux support group, how do i find out which part of my computer is currently dying if it has the following symptoms:
takes a full 10 minutes after pushing the power button to go from "disks start spinning" to "beep"
functions normally after that
smartctl is happy, dmesg is happy, nobody seems to have any problems except that each boot it takes longer and longer to get the board to understand it has to do something
this is mainboard, right? it’s gotta be the mainboard
unless it’s my disks somehow, or, how should i know
