I work for a small family-owned PCB builder and turnkey solution provider - we handle it all from PCB Gerbers to wire harness, painted boxes, assembly, testing, burn in crate it.
My employer is in business since the 1970s, built out two small but state-of-the-art facilities with about 300 employers. I am continuosly working for this employer for the last 18 years, working in many work centers.
The business owners, who are brothers and sister hinted many times how challenging is to retain the production floor workforce, the primary reason they cannot consider moving from Cook county Illinois. Half of Illinois worked for us, and they did not succeed.
We are a prototyping shop, we build nobody else wants to build or able to build. We make a killing on nearly every product, and our customers keep returning us with every new or old design. We build F-16 PCBAs nobody has built for the last 30 years.
