Given the DWP's record of inhumanity & abuse, and the low levels of benefit fraud (as studies have repeatedly shown), the notion of increasing the ability of the DWP to invade people's privacy to catch a small number of fraudulent benefits claimants likely will prompt (as we have seen so often in such action to extend enforcement powers) various forms of DWP over-reach.
Reforming the DWP's culture should be the priority not handing it more powers of abuse!
