Given that Mozilla recently announced they want to focus on AI... they had a project to develop an opensource offline speech recognition system called deepspeech. Which is something that does not exist, uses AI (or what they call AI these days), and would be extremely valuable to a lot of people. But Mozilla abandoned it, and I don't think the remains are in a usable state. (If they are, please point me to a "from audio file to txt in these X steps" howto, I'd like to try.)
