One thing I am going to praise Metal Slug Tactics for is that they take Metal Slug's writing seriously and respectfully... okay it never really had writing but the writing they have to put in because of the genre is not sarcastic and makes both General Morden and the protags sound like badasses. It's not a big thing but how often has a Jap franchise been handed to westerners who decided they wanted to keep it cool and devoid of sarcasm?
