I thought about this kinda thing too. Could even do reddit and FB ads aswell.
The problem lies in what people FEEL are and arnt ads.
Online, scrolling lots of things FEEL like ads.
Seeing a billboard when driving by or stopped at a light doesn't FEEL like an ad the same way seeing one as your scrolling reddit or FB does and that's why I've stayed away from them thus far.
Hopefully this explanation makes sense.
Basical I'd like to leave folks online alone for nostr ads. Online ads come across as annoying, easily skipped, and nobody likes them. Unless you have a bunch of money to dial in and pay to play reaching your target audience.
WOULD ALSO HELP IF PEOPLE DIDNT GO NOSTR ONLY, AND USED THE OTHER SOCIALS STRICKLY TO JUST PURPLE PILL AND SHARE NOSTR. 🤷
But all that said... Im currently in the works to get adspace on streaming platforms like Pluto TV etc where they cant be skipped and the free users expect ads. We'll see if it's to expensive or not. Took a bit of convincing, but I'm close to a greenlight. Few more minor things like privacy policies etc etc and yada yada and nostr could be shown in millions of homes.
