People who claim that it's possible to decide how to feel about things do their audience a disservice. One can't decide how to feel. One can sometimes decide how to respond to feelings. All one can truly do is decide how to act outwardly in response to negative or positive stimuli. Today psychology websites and untrained motivational speakers churn this misguided information out as fact so they can make ad dollars on their websites, and I think it hurts people in the long run. What do you think?
