Absolutely, if you can find a good one, that's still an improvement. It's just important that people know the limitations of VPNs and their use cases versus anonymity tools like Tor. I find that a lot of people think that they can use a VPN and do things that are either illegal or questionable for their reputation and think they can get away with it when, in reality, a lot of VPNs are selling that data just like every big tech social media service. That's why I recommended Proton VPN, Mullvad and IVPN, as those three are pretty proven.

Plus, as far as we know, they don't sell the data or store logs of any kind. Mullvad was raided by police and literally could not give up any information because they don't store any logs whatsoever and you can also use their service without KYC. I mean, they literally allow you to pay for your subscription with cash. All you do is print out your account number and send it in an envelope with cash. It doesn't get much more private than that. Even Monero can't provide that kind of privacy, especially if you take precautions not to leave fingerprints on the bill.

However, that's overkill for most people. Unless you're a whistleblower or activist of some kind, you definitely don't need to do that and if you're a whistleblower, you should be using Tor instead of a VPN anyways.
