The weather eased somewhat but sea ice - in very short supply most places around #Antarctica - is definitely here. That's 3km high Mount Herschel in the distance looking like Batman (even higher Mt Minto was hidden behind clouds). All the foreground is an oozing melange of sea ice and ice bergs. We quit this location a few hours after the photo and now out on the continental shelf edge where the views are a more subtle. #climate #oceanography
