The swallowing pain finally disappeared around day 12, at the same time the rapid tests turned negative. The swab didn't show signs of a bacterial infection, so I guess it must've been a virus-caused inflammation after all…
I'm glad that I went straight home after the first symptoms, isolating in the UK would've been very impractical…
I'm noticing that I'm not back to my full energy levels yet, and have to take it slow for a while.
