i do honestly believe that the further we go down the path of anti-trans lawmakers trying to pin things to "biological sex", and science catching up to the idea that gender identity is innate and integral part of a persons sex, we will see a resurgence of people reclaiming transsexual to over transgender, to say that being trans is part of biological sex (including non-binary people, agender people etc etc)
that transgender people are not something entirely separate sitting away from cis people as just a social construct that can be waved away as day dreaming.
