I wouldn't mind some sort of LLM on my computer if...
*It was private, completely locally hosted, not connected to the outside world.
*It could do useful things like scan all my content and answer questions about it. For example "what's the serial number of xxxx software", "when did I buy my washing machine", " organise and catalogue my photos in a logical order, search for duplicates and mark them for review".
*It didn't require super expensive hardware.
Something like that would have to be open-source, from a non commercial organisation. Purely because not being able to harvest, sell, and spy on my information is not interesting commercially.
In conclusion, an open source project like that would be a massive undertaking and thus is unlikely to happen.
