I disagree with the notion that Assange “martyred himself to ensure that the women who accused him of rape never had the opportunity to obtain justice.”

First, Sweden never criminally charged Assange. The arrest warrant was ostensibly for the purpose of questioning him. Assange was willing to return to Sweden to be questioned if Sweden would guarantee that he would not be turned over to the United States. Sweden declined to provide such a guarantee.
