Sylwia 🏳️⚧️ :nyarch: (nprofile…twud) the Muqadimma is friggin dope, also lots of proto-socialist ideas in islam, why political islam is often able to out-maneuver western influenced socialism in middle east, because what marxists dismiss as "the asiatic mode of production" has been the dominant mode of production for most of human civilization, so islamists can position themselves as anti-capitalism and conservative by pivoting to pre-capitalist forms of economics to reign in worst aspects of capitalism -- i mean this Asiatic mode ( this existed on every continent wherever large cities emerged) is only second to comunalism in how widespread it is, which covers the rest of human history up to recently. Mercantile mixed economies just make sense, and yeah you'd think the market anarchists would jump on that more, ironically i think there was probably more "economic freedom" in the Medieval period with it's guilds and merchants and chaotic port cities and rural peasant communes, i think studies have shown people 1000 years ago ate better and worked less, but right when all that was being destroyed by capitalism ( all of the early corporations and colonial expeditions were financed by the crown and nobility, corporations were established by governmnets ) that's when they start talking about "economic liberty" ya know, at the height of the african slave trade. The capitalists are constitutionally full of shit.
