I get up by dawn to let the chickens out so their screaming doesn't disturb the entire block.

Sometimes I wake up before dawn and get it done while they are still quiet.

The period of time between that and needing to do human stuff right now is pretty slim, though.

In summer, I'm getting up at five-something, then going back to sleep for a bit. Bliss! In winter, I get to sleep in, too. Yay.

I have *got* to get the automatic door installed this spring. 😬
