I really hate all the stupid terms that infosec uses. Because when they say zero trust, they don't mean zero trust. It's mostly just a fancy way of saying you should authenticate everything... which requires trusting something, often a third party even.
If you really need some catchy term at least call it "Complete Authentication" or "Verified Trust" or something, the term zero trust is a straight up lie
