#Meta recently provided the best case study I'm aware of when they launched #Threads. Skipping the usual growth phase of regular people interacting with each other, they really went hard on making sure that all sorts of big name influencers were there. That was supposed to be the big draw. Turns out, that wasn't all that enticing.
