That said, they can still miss bad if there is a systematic bias that affects a majority of the pollsters, such as unexpectedly high turnouts of a particular demographic. If everyone is making the same incorrect assumptions the aggregate will be confidently wrong

Polling isn't exactly non-scientific, but it's impossible to be super rigorous
