One potential avenue that I find really interesting is hypervector computing/semantic pointers. ANNs and HVC are very complementary in their capabilities, with HVC supporting instant memorization and local generalization, while ANNs support the learning of implicit decision surfaces. I'd love to find a way to put these together effectively, or, barring that, even just to see someone else do it.",
